VP Kamala Harris Goes Off On Media Over Negative Coverage

It seems that Vice President Kamala Harris is none too happy with the media.
The vice president, who has fallen to an abysmal approval rating of just 28 percent in one poll as reports in the media concerning a dysfunctional vice president’s office continue to float around, even in liberal-leaning mainstream media outlets, trashed what she says is an endless stream of negative coverage of her office.
“Oh, how about, ‘She’s going to buy a pot on her way to the airport,’ she went on to whine during an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle that was put out on Sunday, “after a very significant and highly successful bilateral meeting in France on issues that are about national security, on issues that are about climate, on issues that are about what we are doing in terms of international norms and rules on everything from cyber to space.”
“Come on,” she stated.
Harris was pictured shopping for pots and pans in Paris during a recent trip abroad, which drew mockery on social media.
The Chronicle said Harris “sidestepped” questions about recent reports that her office is dysfunctional, leading to the departure of several top staffers, including her spokeswoman, Symone Sanders, and communications director Ashley Etienne.
“Harris twice did not directly answer a question about lessons she had learned and whether she wished she’d done anything differently over the past year,” the Chronicle report went on to say. “But she said her goals for next year include more travel around the country to sell the administration’s priorities.”
Etienne’s exit announcement came on the heels of devastating USA Today/Suffolk University polling that showed Harris earning a dismal 28% approval rating, 10 points behind President Joe Biden’s, who sat at a not-so-pretty 38% approval. Biden is apparently not too happy about Harris’ numbers, with one report saying she’s not even considered to be Biden’s successor in the White House anymore, while another says the president is considering moving her to the Supreme Court so he can pick a new veep who might have a chance to win in 2024.
Another report stated that Biden and Harris are currently at war with each other, which prompted some very desperate Harris aides to come to the defense of their bosses, saying this was nothing but “gossip.”
“Joe Biden’s relationship with Kamala Harris is in crisis, with her staff furious that she is being ‘sidelined,’ while the president’s team are increasingly frustrated by how she is playing with American public,” the Daily Mail stated in a recent report. “Harris’ approval rating has plunged even further than Biden’s in recent months, with rumors swirling that the president is considering appointing her to the Supreme Court as a backdoor method of selecting a new VP.”
Strangely, the first reports that things might not be going all that well in the office came from CNN, which said just last month, “Many current and former West Wing aides say that Vice President Kamala Harris is not being adequately prepared or positioned, and instead is being sidelined, causing frustration among staffers.”
“Interviews with nearly three dozen former and current Harris aides, administration officials, Democratic operatives, donors and outside advisers — who spoke extensively to CNN — reveal a complex reality inside the White House. Many in the vice president’s circle fume that she’s not being adequately prepared or positioned, and instead is being sidelined. The vice president herself has told several confidants she feels constrained in what she’s able to do politically. And those around her remain wary of even hinting at future political ambitions, with Biden’s team highly attuned to signs of disloyalty, particularly from the vice president,” CNN said in their report.
