Visibly Shook Jen Psaki Says ‘Let Me Finish!’ After Getting Grilled By Reporter On Possible CDC Mask Updates

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki looked visibly shook when Fox News White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich grilled her like a piece of chicken on both side after asking her about possible mask update guidelines coming from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention.
The exchange, which grew in intensity, kicked off when Heinrich asked Psaki about when the public could expect to see an update on mask policy from the CDC given the fact that there have been several states across America that have started to end mask mandates or have plans in place to begin doing so soon.
“When are we going to hear from the CDC on this guidance? California yesterday changed their guidance. Randi Weingarten — teachers union — is vocally asking for the White House and the CDC to weigh in. So when are we going to hear from the CDC about updating the guidance on masks?” Heinrich went on to ask Psaki.
Psaki was not at all happy to receive the question.
“You’ll have to ask the CDC. The CDC moves at the pace of data and science,” Psaki fired back, making the claim that the Biden administration is trying to keep guidance in place that will allow schools to stay open.
“We want kids to be in school. Ninety-eight percent of schools are open. That’s a very —” Psaki stated.
“Do –” Heinrich stated, trying to cut in. However, Psaki gave some push back.
“Let me finish. That’s a very good sign,” she stated.
Heinrich tried once again to interject saying, “Do you believe –” but Psaki just kept on going.
“We know what works. The CDC is always going to be reviewing their guidance, including mask guidance. But in terms of when they will provide additional new guidance, that is up to them,” Psaki stated once again.
“Do you believe then that the Democratic-led states who are breaking with the CDC on this guidance, that they’re not — that they’re throwing science away and that the CDC is — has access to different science somehow?” Heinrich said.
Heinrich was making a reference to a number of states that have made announcements about plans to end their mask mandates.
“We don’t look at it through that prism. These states, I think it’s important to note, they still allow for decisions to be made by local school districts,” Psaki proclaimed, stating that the real concern is that there could be places where parents or children choose to wear masks in schools but elected leaders would prevent them from doing that.
She then made the claim that this is already the case in a few states.
“Our hope is that states, leaders will look at the science and data about what’s going on, they’ll make decisions about local school districts. Local school districts have always made these decisions. That remains the case,” Psaki stated in conclusion.
