White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is refusing to address remarks that were made by former President Donald Trump during his CPAC speech on Sunday, in which he accused Biden of selling out America’s kids to teachers unions.
“One more question, former President Trump speaking over the weekend at CPAC … he said, ‘President Joe Biden sold out America’s children to the teacher’s union,’” a reporter asked Psaki. “How does the White House respond to that?”
“I think we’re going to do, ugh, spend more of our time focused on communicating about our agenda for the American people than responding to criticism from the former president,” Psaki replied.

Below are the remarks that Trump made during his CPAC speech about the school issue as it relates to the Biden administration:
They’re callous indifference to working family is equally clear when it comes to the critical matter of getting America’s children back to school. And they must get back and get back right now, right now, crazy. Terrible. Terrible.
The Biden administration is actually bragging about the classroom education they are providing to migrant children on the border. While at the same time, millions of American children are having their futures destroyed by Joe Biden’s anti-science school closures. Think of it. We’re educating students on the border, but our own people, children of our citizens, citizens themselves are not getting the education that they deserve. There’s no reason whatsoever why the vast majority of young Americans should not be back in school immediately.
And that’s just a sample. Trump really ripped Biden for his stance on this issue, and to be fair, he deserves every bit of it.
Biden promised he would have schools open within the first 100 days of his administration. He’s obviously not that committed to completing that goal. It’s been demonstrated in recent studies and even suggested by the CDC that kids get back to school and teachers don’t have to worry as much as previously thought about contracting the virus from children.
And yet, here we are, with many schools still shutdown.
Because teachers unions want to continue getting paid to do nothing. And Biden isn’t going to do anything about the situation or weigh in on it because he received a lot of money during his campaign from these unions.
Playing politics with the future generations of this country is appalling.
