US Embassy In Australia Sends Picture of Cat in Pajamas Instead of Meeting Invite

I don’t know about you, but I’ve made many mistakes over the years at various jobs I’ve held, some more embarrassing than others.
So when I think about important jobs like Congressional aides or other government workers, I always think our much pressure there is not to make mistakes in such an official, important position.
Fortunately, for an employee at the American embassy in Australia, higher-ups seem to have had a pretty good sense of humor over a very embarrassing, and hilarious mistake involving a meeting invite and a cat meme.

The Daily Wire reports that U.S. Mission to Australia Public Affairs Counselor Gavin Sundwall had to issue a follow-up email apologizing for the adorable mistake, explaining it had been “a training error.”
“Sorry to disappoint those of you who were hoping to attend this ‘cat pajama-jam’ party, but such an event falls well outside our area of expertise,” Sundwell explained. “It was a training error made by one of our new staff testing out our email newsletter platform.”
Well, that certainly is a shame.
