Trump To Give Convention Speech From White House Grounds

President Donald Trump has stated that he’s going to accept the presidential nomination and deliver his acceptance speech from the White House Grounds during the Republican National Convention.

This isn’t going to come as much of a surprise, given the fact the RNC has had a very difficult time trying to nail down an actual, in-person location due to coronavirus. This is what led to ditching the in-person event altogether.

Here’s more from The Daily Wire:

“I’ll probably be giving my speech at the White House because it is a great place. It’s a place that makes me feel good, it makes the country feel good,” Trump told The New York Post. “We’d do it possibly outside on one of the lawns, we have various lawns, so we could have it outside in terms of the China virus.”

Democrats have complained that Trump would be using the White House for political purposes, but the U.S. Office of Special Counsel said this week that the president can deliver his speech on the White House grounds without violating government ethics rules.

Trump has also said he might deliver his speech at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, site of a famed Civil War battle.

Anyone who has complained about President Trump holding his speech here is just looking for a reason to attack him. There’s no such concern about the White House being used for political purposes.

Over the last three years, we’ve seen the media attack the president over anything and everything possible. Just add this to the list.
