Trump Responds To Michigan Gov. Whitmer Calling Him ‘Biggest Threat’ To US By Saying She ‘Doesn’t Have A Clue’

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, who has been repeatedly criticized for the extreme and tyrannical measures she instituted for her state in light of the coronavirus pandemic, recently stated that she believed President Donald Trump to be the biggest threat to the United States.

Trump, speaking at a rally in the state on Thursday, said Whitmer “doesn’t have a clue.”

A truer statement has never been spoken.

“Michigan has already gained and regained more than half of the jobs that it lost — and if your state was ever allowed to safely reopen by your governor, who doesn’t have a clue, just like Joe [Biden], you would have gained far more than that,” Trump said in Freeland, Saginaw County, according to FOX 2 in Detroit.

“Open up your state, Madam Governor, open up your state!”

Michigan would be better off if it “had a governor who knew what the hell she was doing,” Trump added.

The president later went on to describe Whitmer as a “liberal hypocrite who lives by a different set of rules.”

This is a referrence to when Whitmer’s husband, Marc Mallory, asked a dock company located in the northern part of the state to have his boat ready by Memorial Day, despite the fact residents were being advised to stay at home.

When the company responded that they could not do that, he asked if it helped that he was the governor’s husband. Whitmer later said it was a poor attempt at humor.

Whitmer’s comments about Trump being a threat likely stem from the audio recordings of Bob Woodward where the president said he downplayed the severity of the virus to prevent panic.
