Trump Calls 2020 Election Results ‘The Big Lie’

Former President Donald Trump stated on Monday that he still believes the election was stolen from him through massive voter fraud and event went so far as to call the results of the race “THE BIG LIE.”

“The Fraudulent Presidential Election of 2020 will be, from this day forth, known as THE BIG LIE!” Trump stated in his latest email.

The term in question was actually created by Democrats during the second impeachment trial of the former president, though the Senate acquitted him of being responsible for causing the riot at the Capitol on January 6.

The term itself is a reference to Trump and his supporters and the claim that the 2020 presidential election was full of fraud that resulted in Biden being declared the winner of the race. The claims have been denied by those involved in the election such as Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic.

Dominion has since filed defamation lawsuits against those who echoed the former president’s claims in the aftermath of the election, including Sidney Powell, My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell, and Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani. The company most recently sued Fox News in late March.

“No amount of money can repair the damage that’s been done by these lies, which are easily disproved,” Dominion wrote in a February statement. “Hundreds of documented audits and recounts have proven that Dominion machines accurately counted votes. We look forward to proving these facts in a court of law.”

Recently, Trump has taken a keen interest in the election audit of Maricopa County, Arizona, where GOP authorities and Democrats have been engaged in a fierce court battle over the veracity of the inquiry. Last week, the 45th president demanded Gov. Doug Ducey use state police or the National Guard to protect the audit process.

“The Republican Party is demanding that Governor Ducey of Arizona immediately provide large-scale security for the brave American Patriots doing the Forensic Audit of the 2020 Presidential Election,” Trump stated during that time.

“Governor Ducey will be held fully responsible for the safety of those involved. State police or National Guard must be immediately sent out for protection,” the former president added. “The Democrats do not want to have this information revealed, and they will do anything to stop it. Governor Ducey must finally act!”

The current audit unfolding in Maricopa County involves 2.1 million ballots that were cast in Arizona’s most heavily populated county and includes a forensic audit of all the voting machines used.
