The Woke Mob Launches Assault Against Kendall Jenner For ‘Culturally Appropriating’ Tequila

Model Kendall Jenner is now being accused of cultural appropriation after she decided to launch her own brand of tequila, which she says she’s been working on for the last four years.

Jenner announced the launch of the brand in an Instagram post revealing it would be called 818 tequila, which is likely named after the area code for Calabasas, California. The model and reality television star stated that her tequila has already won eight awards, including best reposado at the World Tequila Awards.

I didn’t even know there was such a thing as the World Tequila Awards, so yeah, sounds legit to me.

“After dozens of blind taste tests, trips to our distillery, entering into world tasting competitions anonymously and WINNING … ⅗ years later I think we’ve done it,” Jenner wrote in the caption for her post. “This is all we’ve been drinking for the last year and I can’t wait for everyone else to get their hands on this to enjoy it as much as we do!”

Following her announcement, social media condemned Jenner for allegedly culturally appropriating Mexican culture. One user accused Jenner of profiting off of Mexican traditions.

“Something about Kendall Jenner making tequila rubs me the wrong way…like the idea of white celebrities taking from local Mexican artisans and profiting off our traditions and agricultural business yet only visit Cabos and Puerto Vallarta for vacation spots,” the user wrote. “And not to mention profit off the brown hands that actually plant, grow, harvest, ferment, and distill the agave plants in Jalisco.”

Another Twitter user dubbed Jenner’s tequila brand “gentrification.”

“Kendall Jenner starting a tequila brand with zero knowledge of Mexican culture and calling it ‘818 tequila’ is GENTRIFICATION,” the tweet reads. “What about those smaller, family owned Mexican tequila/mezcal brands? They deserve the hype [and] support.”

So yeah.

This is the absurdity of the modern left, folks. I know you see it everyday, but we have to call it out when we see it.

I’m not even a Kendall Jenner fan. Not even a little. However, if she wants to make tequila, she can make tequila. Why anyone else should care is beyond me.

The kind of culture the left wants to create will collapse in upon itself, so we better get busy building a better one to take its place because this insanity will not last.
