Ted Cruz Asked By Reporter To Wear A Mask, He Refuses: ‘You’re Welcome To Step Away’
Sen. Ted Cruz was recently asked by a reporter to wear a face mask during a press event, but rejected the request telling the reporter they were welcome to “step away.”
“Would you mind putting a mask on for us?” the reporter, who has not been identified, asked Cruz on Wednesday.
“Yeah, when I’m talking to the TV camera, I’m not going to wear a mask,” Cruz replied. “All of us have been immunized.”
“It’d make us feel better,” a reporter said.
“You’re welcome to step away if you’d like,” the Texas senator said. “The whole point of a vaccine — CDC guidance is what we’re following.”
Guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention state that people who are “fully vaccinated can gather indoors without physical distancing or wearing masks” when with others who are fully vaccinated or with unvaccinated people from one other household.
Cruz was lauded on social media for the exchange, and Cruz tweeted, “Lefty reporters have lost their minds. #commonsense.”
Cruz is right on the money. These reporters are trying their best to push the fear mongering narrative concerning COVID, believing the lies they’ve been spoon fed hook, line, and sinker. It’s almost sad.
I say almost because it’s not like these people don’t know any better. They do, but it’s like they can’t help themselves. Groveling for the lefty politicians and the cause of transforming America into a socialist nightmare has become a way of life for these folks.
