Psaki Says Biden Has No Intention Of Sending Unilateral Troops To Ukraine

The White House stated on Tuesday that President Joe Biden does not have any intentions of sending unilateral American troops to Ukraine after Washington put 8,5000 troops on alert to reassure NATO allies.

“Just to be clear: there is no intention or interest or desire by the president to send troops to Ukraine. NATO is a forum to support our eastern flank partners and countries, and that’s what the focus has been on,” White House Spokesperson Jen Psaki went on to say to the media.

John Kirby, spokesman for the Pentagon, stated on Monday that the vast majority of the 8,500 troops were being notified of ready-to-deploy orders so that they could fill the ranks of a NATO rapid response force should the alliance call them up for duty.
