President Trump Announces Georgia Rally Ahead Of Senate Runoffs

With the GOP majority in the Senate completely dependent on the outcome of the Georgia runoff races, President Donald Trump has announced that he will be holding a rally in order to give Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue the push they need to achieve victory.

“On behalf of two GREAT Senators, @sendavidperdue & @KLoeffler, I will be going to Georgia on Monday night, January 4th, to have a big and wonderful RALLY,” the president said on Twitter. “So important for our country that they win!”

The balance of power for the next Senate will come out of these contests. The current tally on Capitol Hill is 50 Republicans and 48 Democrats.

If Democrats win both of Georgia’s runoff elections to make it a 50-50 Senate, power will shift to the Democrats with Vice President-elect Kamala Harris serving as the tie-breaking vote and giving her party a razor-thin majority in the chamber.

With fears of election fraud still fresh in the minds of folks in the state of Georgia, it’s critical for the president to show up and campaign on behalf of Loeffler and Perdue.

Without these two seats, it’s possible that Democrats could end up having control over both houses of Congress and the White House, which would certainly spell disaster for the future of our country and our liberties.

It’s crucial we maintain control of the Senate in order to ensure the radical agenda of progressives is kept in check. Let’s hope for a fair and free election where the true voices of the people of Georgia can be heard.
