President Biden Thinks Over Vaccine Travel Mandates As Migrants With COVID Cross Are Let Across Border

President Joe Biden speaks during the 59th Presidential Inauguration at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021.

New reports indicate that the Biden administration is allegedly preparing to mandate vaccines for all incoming foreign travelers to the United States, but is continuing to release thousands of migrants who are COVID positive into the country.

An official with the administration spoke with reporters at Reuters stating that the action will be the nation’s first step toward loosening up the travel restrictions for those who are not citizens. These restrictions have been in place since the very beginning of the pandemic. Many of the areas that are impacted by these restrictions are the European Union’s Schengen Area, the United Kingdom, Ireland, India, China, and Brazil.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki would not directly answer questions in late July about whether or not the government would lift COVID-19 travel bans should airlines require incoming international passengers to show proof of vaccines and has sought to avoid putting a timeline on the full lifting of restrictions.

“We would all like to see not just for tourism but for families to be reunited,” she went on to say. “There are a range of topics in those discussions that are ongoing. The president receives regular briefings on them, but we rely on public health and medical advice on when we’re going to determine changes to be made.”

The latest action comes amid increasing criticism of President Joe Biden’s immigration policies, specifically over reports that border officials are releasing thousands of migrants who have tested positive for the coronavirus into the country.

Sen. Ted Cruz recently posted up a tweet concerning both of the headlines featuring a little bit of snark via the “eyes” emoji. This guy is awesome.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis also attacked Biden’s border policies during a press conference on Wednesday. The president previously suggested that DeSantis and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott “get out of the way” if they weren’t going to abide by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s latest coronavirus guidance.

“Why don’t you do your job? Why don’t you get this border secure?” DeSantis angrily fired back at Biden on Wednesday. “Until you do that, I don’t want to hear a blip about COVID from you.”

To give you an example of how serious this situation is, the last week of the month of July had 7,000 migrants released into downtown McAllen, Texas. Out of that stunningly large number, 1,500 of them tested positive for the coronavirus.

But hey, those are all potential Democratic Party voters, right? Wouldn’t want to alienate those individuals by doing the right thing to secure the border, would we?
