OUCH: President Biden’s Approval Drops Below Kamala Harris

WASHINGTON, DC – APRIL 14, 2021: U.S. President Joe Biden speaks from the Treaty Room in the White House about the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan

So apparently President Joe Biden’s rating has now fallen below the approval rating of his Vice President, Kamala Harris, who has absolutely atrocious numbers herself, according to data from a Gallup poll.

The data reveals that 44 percent of Americans approve of the job Harris is currently doing as the vice president, while only 43 percent approve of the work Biden is doing in office.

Now some folks might say it’s only one percentage point, but when you look at how low Harris has dropped, that’s really telling.

The vice president, the first woman and woman of color to hold national elected office, has been heavily criticized by Republicans and has been the subject of frustration among Democrats in recent weeks.

Insiders told CNN last month that the White House and Harris’ office have grown frustrated with each other as Harris struggles to find focus and organization as vice president. Meanwhile, her supporters have complained that Biden simply is not giving Harris the opportunity to lead and succeed.

Harris has been particularly criticized for her strategy — or lack of it — on the southern border. Biden tapped her with handling the migration crisis in southern states, but her chosen strategy has been widely regarded as largely ineffective.

Harris has said that her “primary focus” in dealing with the border is to address the “root causes of migration” out of Central American countries like Guatemala. However, migrants continue to cross the southern border into the U.S., overwhelming border authorities and immigration courts.

Well, it seems the mystery surrounding the border crisis is more complex than that of the Bermuda Triangle because it doesn’t seem that Harris has managed to figure out a solution to the problem.

Either that or her IQ is located somewhere south of her shoe size.

Mark Morgan, who is the former acting commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, said that Harris is “out of touch” on the border situation.

“I think what all Americans want, regardless of their political affiliation, is to feel safe and secure in their neighborhoods and their communities, and that starts with border security,” Morgan went on to say.

Biden’s got a whole other set of issues that are causing his massive fall from grace.

The president’s awful Build Back Better Act, the $1.9 trillion spending bill and a key campaign promise for him, was more or less tanked just days before Christmas when Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin from West Virginia refused to vote in favor of it.

“I have always said, ‘If I can’t go back home and explain it, I can’t vote for it,’” Manchin said during an interview on Fox News where he announced his intentions not to support the bill.

“Despite my best efforts, I cannot explain the sweeping Build Back Better Act in West Virginia and I cannot vote to move forward on this mammoth piece of legislation,” Manchin continued.

To summarize, the vast majority of Americans believe both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are doing a craptastic job.
