New LGBTQ Rom-Com Bombs At The Box Office, Guess Who Star Of The Film Billy Eichner Is Blaming For The Failure…

In news that will shock absolutely no one, actor Billy Eichner, who has been smashing on conservatives, Christians, and Republicans for many years now, has essentially made a career out of this sort of behavior, so it’s not surprising at all to hear he’s once again engaging in his favorite pastime after his new LGBTQ “rom-com” only brought in $4 million at the box office this weekend. Yes, Eichner went on an angry tirade blaming homophobia and “straight people in certain parts of the country” for his movie being a big bust. Because there’s no way the reason for the failure can be the simple fact the movie is terrible. No way.

Breitbart News writer Simon Kent wrote, “The film, trumpeted as Hollywood’s first major gay romcom, initially received enthusiastic acclaim from critics but has been largely ignored by cinema goers. It is estimated to have taken just $4.8m  in receipts – half of what Universal had hoped – during its opening weekend, UPI reports.”

Eichner, 44, then took to social media and launched into an angry rant on Sunday going on to tell “everyone who ISN’T a homophobic weirdo” to go and support his movie at the theater.

“Last night I snuck in and sat in the back of a sold-out theatre playing Bros in LA,” he went on to say during his screed. “The audience howled with laughter start to finish, burst into applause at the end, and some were wiping away tears as they walked out. Really. I am VERY proud of this movie.”

But then he changed tone and scolded his followers saying, “Even with glowing reviews, great Rotten Tomatoes scores, an A CinemaScore, etc, straight people, especially in certain parts of the country, just didn’t show up for Bros. And that’s disappointing but it is what it is.”

Why in the world should people go to a movie they have no interest in seeing, plopping down hard earned dollars, in order to support a film just because of its political agenda? Seriously? Not to mention romantic comedies do not tend to be huge draws at the box office anyway. But no, I’m not going to watch a movie simply because it’s trying to force a political point or agenda. That’s just dumb.

The actor then told “everyone who ISN’T a homophobic weirdo” to go see his new movie. So anyone who doesn’t want to support the gay lifestyle is homophobic and shouldn’t go see your movie? Seems odd to suggest that only people who aren’t homophobic go see the movie. Don’t you want to open hearts and minds? Don’t you want people to see your film so it makes money and studios want to make more?

You do understand how the entertainment business works, right?

“You will have a blast! And it is special and uniquely powerful to see this particular story on a big screen, esp for queer folks who don’t get this opportunity often. I love this movie so much. GO BROS!!!” he said.

“Eichner, a multi-millionaire in his own right with a net worth of close to $5 million, is the first openly gay man to write and co-star in his own major studio film. Eichner chose, however, to sell America on his film by repeatedly attacking half her citizens.
In late August, Eichner strode to center stage at the 2022 MTV VMAs and lobbed a smear-filled attack on what he called ‘all the homophobes on the Supreme Court,'” Kent wrote for Breitbart.

Go woke, go broke.

It’s a truth the radicals in the movie business just can’t seem to grasp.
