Mnuchin Says Pelosi Terrified Coronavirus Relief Bill Will Give Trump A Victory

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin spoke on Monday morning concerning the reasoning why House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats in Congress are working so hard against Republicans in passing another relief package for folks suffering financially due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to Mnuchin, Pelosi is terrified that if they pass the bill, it will make Trump look good, providing him a much needed win before the big election in November.

“I am somewhat concerned that she is afraid that any deal would be good for the president,” he told CNBC.

Pelosi, a Democrat from California, in July began calling the coronavirus the “Trump virus” and has for months blamed the president for the economic downturn that followed nationwide lockdowns.

“The president of the United States is central to that failure because he rejects science and he rejects governance,” Pelosi said on MSNBC in early September. “From the start, he was in denial, delay, distortion, called it a hoax. He just would not accept the science.”

Mnuchin stated later on that the president is willing to bypass Congress on the bill and use executive orders to push it through.

“The president is going to make sure that he uses his authority to do whatever he can to help small businesses, but there are limitations,” the treasury secretary said.

However, Mnuchin did say that a compromise between both parties that would enable the relief package to be passed is still possible.

It’s a sad state of affairs to see radical left-wingers like Pelosi politicize the suffering and anguish of regular Americans who have had their livelihoods stripped away from them through coronavirus regulations.

This proves that the Democratic Party of today does not care about average citizens. It’s no longer about the “little guy.” It’s about obtaining political power.
