Michigan Gov. Whitmer, Who Opposed Border Wall, Building Fence Around Her Residence

Left-wing Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has been very vocal about her being against a border wall being built to keep out illegal immigrants, but that hasn’t deterred her from building a pretty sizable fence around her residence.

Gee, wonder what the purpose of such a structure might be? Surely it’s not to keep out folks who don’t have the legal right to be on her property without proper permission, right?

Because that would be very, very hypocritical.

The official residence of Democrat Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer in Lansing will soon have an eight-foot high, electrified fence surrounding it; the fence and ancillary security upgrades will reportedly cost $1.1 million.

The Washington Free Beacon also went on to point out:

Whitmer, a Biden surrogate, has attacked the idea of using barriers to prevent illegal immigration. She called President Donald Trump’s border wall “costly and ineffective” in February 2017, nearly a week after suggesting that money for the wall would be better spent elsewhere. “$40 BILLION for the wall,” Whitmer tweeted. “Think how many kids that would educate, how many roads, bridges and pipes it would fix.” Whitmer also campaigned against Trump’s wall in 2018, saying, “it is time we get back to building bridges, not walls.”

Back in May, a man was charged with a felony after he allegedly made a few credible threats to the life and safety of Whitmer. In light of that, it makes sense to have better security around her home, right?

Well, you see, that’s exactly what we all want to do with our country too. Dangerous criminals are taking advantage of the lack of security guarding the border to enter our nation and carry out criminal acts.

Many of these individuals already have rap sheets in their home countries and are looking to escape from those places before they are prosecuted further.

A border wall protects the people of our nation from criminals like that. Just like fences can keep out unwanted and dangerous guests on our property.
