Members Of The GOP Shred Biden’s HHS Pick As ‘Disaster For California’

Republicans have wasted no time coming out strong against Joe Biden after he made the announcement that he had chosen California Attorney General Xavier Becerra as secretary of Health and Human Services Monday, if he is certified president.
The major thrust of their criticisms come due to Becerra’s record concerning the issue of abortion, among other things.
Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., said he would not vote to confirm Becerra, and pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List urged other Republican senators to “stop this unacceptable nomination from going forward.”
“Xavier Becerra spent his career attacking pro-life Americans and tried to force crisis pregnancy centers to advertise abortions,” Cotton wrote on Twitter. “He’s been a disaster in California and he is unqualified to lead HHS. I’ll be voting no, and Becerra should be rejected by the Senate.”

Southern Baptist Theological Seminary President Al Mohler also agreed that choosing Becerra was a bad move.
Biden’s choice of Xavier Becerra as HHS Secretary shows the abject lie of the “moderate” Biden and sets up a fight the Republicans in the Senate had better not lose. Conservatives in Georgia—are you paying attention? All eyes are on you. Voter registration ends Monday!

If Republicans manage to keep control of the Senate, which all depends on whether or not the GOP candidates in the runoff elections in Georgia win next month, they will be able to block the approval of Becerra.
This, of course, will anger the pro-death folks who want to ensure they keep the right to destroy human life in the womb, but so be it. Someone has to stand up boldly for the rights of our most vulnerable citizens.
