Joe Biden Says Cops Supported Him ‘Up Until This Year;’ Says They Need ‘Sensitivity Training’

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden participated in a town hall event hosted by MSNBC on Monday evening where he seemed to suggest that he doesn’t have the backing and support of police force agencies, but in the same breath stated they need “sensitivity training.”

Here’s a thought, Joe. Perhaps that comment is exactly why local law enforcement and other police organizations aren’t backing you for president. Just a theory.

Biden was asked by a woman who was married to a retired officer and whose son was also involved in law enforcement, to address the “defund the police” movement and to state his plans on how he would increase the safety of both officers out in the field and local communities.

“Biden dodged the question of safety, but pointed out that cops had supported him in the past,” The Washington Free Beacon reported.

“I have had overwhelming support from police my whole career, up until this year,” Biden told the woman.

President Donald Trump grilled Biden during the presidential debate over the lack of support that he has received from law enforcement groups, saying, “He doesn’t have any law support. He has no law enforcement.”

When Biden countered by claiming that Trump’s statement was not true, Trump pressed him, “Oh, really, who do you have? Name one group that supports you. Name one group that came out and supported you. Go ahead. Think we have time.”

Biden responded by saying, “We don’t have time to do anything.”

Trump wouldn’t let it go, however, pressing Biden by saying, “No. No. Think right now. Name one law enforcement group that came out in support of you.”

Things are definitely not looking good for Biden when it comes to earning the support of law enforcement groups, which is likely due to the fact that Biden and other liberals have vilified police officers over the last several decades, but especially so this year during the Black Lives Matter riots that exploded after the death of George Floyd.

As long as the left continues to act as if cops are the bad guys, there’s no way Democratic candidates are going to be backed by police organizations. Seems pretty straightforward.
