Jill Biden Delivers Remarks At DNC; Presents More Personal Side Of Her Husband

Jill Biden, wife of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, delivered some remarks at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday evening, making a personal appeal to her husband for his ability to persevere through tragedy and the reliance of his personally held faith as reasons to support him in his bid for the Oval Office.

Here’s more on her statement from The Washington Examiner:

“How do you make a broken family whole? The same way you make a nation whole. With love and understanding — and with small acts of compassion. With bravery. With unwavering faith,” she said of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

The former vice president’s first wife, Neilia, and 1-year-old daughter Naomi died in a 1972 car crash just after he was first elected to the Senate. His sons, Hunter and Beau, survived the crash but were in critical condition, and Biden was sworn in to the Senate at his sons’ hospital bedside.

“There are times when I couldn’t imagine how he did it — how he put one foot in front of the other and kept going. But I’ve always understood why he did it,” Biden said of her husband. “He does it for you.”

Biden actually made history during her time as the second lady, as she continued her teaching career at a community college during her husband’s time as vice president. Her comments were recorded in her former classroom at Brandywine High School in Wilmington, Delaware, where she spoke about the emotional impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on education by preventing schools around the country from being able to open up as planned.

“You can hear the anxiety that echoes down empty hallways. There’s no scent of new notebooks or freshly waxed floors. The rooms are dark, and the bright young faces that should fill them are confined to boxes on a computer screen,” the former second lady said.

It’s important to note that we all recognize Joe Biden is a human being. And like all human beings, he’s gone through a lot of tragedy and adversity. However, the reason so many on the right are against him is because his Marxist policies would destroy the fabric of our liberty and erode our rights.

We want to preserve, or “conserve” these principles so that future generations of Americans can enjoy the privilege of freedom and do what they want with their own lives.

This is why we stand against Biden.
