House Set To Vote To Strip Marjorie Taylor Greene From Committees

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer has announced that he will not cut any sort of deal that will preserve Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s committee assignments which means there will be a vote on Thursday to remove her from the panels in question.

Hoyer announced the plan right after having a meeting with Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, a Republican, who was hoping to avoid going to a floor vote and would at least be able to keep Greene on one of her assignments.

via Washington Examiner:

“I spoke to Leader McCarthy this morning, and it is clear there is no alternative to holding a floor vote on the resolution to remove Rep. Greene from her committee assignments,” Hoyer said. “The Rules Committee will meet this afternoon, and the House will vote on the resolution tomorrow.”

Democrats say Greene, a freshman from Georgia, should not serve on any committees because she has embraced conspiracy theories such as questioning whether school shootings were “false flag” events aimed at ramping up gun control efforts.

The House will now vote on Thursday to strip Greene from the Education and the Workforce Committee and the Budget Committee.

All of this because Greene is committed to freely speaking her mind about the 2020 presidential election and gave her support to former President Trump with zero regrets.

These folks absolutely hate anyone who has a different opinion from their own. And now we’re seeing them take actions to silence people from across the aisle. Dangerous times, y’all.
