Ah, Auntie Maxine.

Her unhinged rants have become, over the years, a sort of institution of their own in the House of Representatives.

We’ve grown accustomed to the quavering calls for impeachment, her clear disconnect from reality as she slips into dementia, her cute little wig.

Can you imagine the House without her? I mean, she’s been there for literally decades. What would the swamp be without little Auntie Maxine, praising destructive and violent risings and calling for uprisings against a sitting president?

Well, we may soon find out…and no one would be too disappointed if this old mare was sent to pasture.

GOP members of the house are calling for her resignation and have actually introduced a bill to censure her after she actually called for Trump supporters to be harassed in public.

Over the weekend, Waters told a crowd (I’m guessing “crowd” may be a term that is being used lightly) at a rally that Trump officials should be rudely confronted in public:

“If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” she said, drawing criticism from both the right and the left.

We definitely would have thought she crossed a line years ago, but it appears she may have finally gone too far.

Fox News reports:

A Republican Congressman on Monday introduced an initiative to censure California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters and ask for her resignation after she encouraged others to confront Trump administration officials.

Rep. Andy Biggs, R-AZ., introduced a measure calling on the congresswoman to apologize to the White House for “endangering their lives and sowing seeds of discord,” resign from her position, and release a public statement saying harassment or violence isn’t a form of protest.

You know, it’s fun to joke about kooky old Maxine Waters, but the GOP is right to respond in this manner.

We absolutely can’t sit back and allow public discourse to deteriorate to this level. The let has been able to be as dramatic and hyperbolic as they choose for far too long, and as a result, we have violent Antifa thugs in the street brutally beating people they disagree with and deliberately crashing patriotic events just to do so.

Hitler’s Brown Shirts were able to intimidate and brutalize the German public in the days leading up to the Furher’s rise to power, and we absolutely can’t let that happen. It’s not in anyone’s best interest.

Maxine Waters was a fan of the LA riots in 1992, calling them an “uprising” rather than a violent riot, which they very much were.

If the liberals really want our nation to be governed with peace, compassion, and tolerance, they absolutely have to start at home, and we’ve got to start holding them accountable for their insane lack of self-awareness.
