David Hogg’s Attacks on the NRA Have Completely and Totally Backfired

Since the moment the bullets stopped in Parkland, David Hogg, Sheriff Scott Israel, and anti-Second Amendment zealots across the nation have been pointing the finger at the National Rifle Association.

Chants at the latest (sparsely attended) gun control high school walkout featured such classics as “hey hey NRA, how many kids have you killed today?” (hint=literally zero, ever) and signs accusing the NRA of having blood on their hands and being “terrorists”.

David Hogg, the boy king of ill-informed, anti-liberty high school students across the land, even went as far as to call the NRA “pathetic f***ers that want to keep killing our children, they could have blood from children splattered all over their faces and they wouldn’t take action because they all still see those dollar signs.”

Subtle.

See, the way David Hogg sees it, the NRA, a lobbying organization with 80,000 members that has been defending the sacred rights detailed in the Constitution of the United States for decades is really just a front group for billion-dollar gun manufacturers who care nothing about the lives of innocent children and are blinded by their own profits. Kind of like Planned Parenthood, you know?

But as it turns out, Americans aren’t so keen on his relentless attacks on the Second Amendment and the time-honored natural rights organization committed to defending it.

To begin, interest in NRA membership has surged since Hogg and his little friends began accusing law-abiding gun owners everywhere of crimes committed by law-breaking criminals who should have never been legally allowed to own a gun in the first place.

Then, NRA PAC donations began to skyrocket, tripling in February as compared to January. Apparently, the unfounded and brutal accusations hurled at the NRA following Parkland ended up having the opposite effect as the pint-sized activists intended.

Now, it is being reported that the NRA is seeing record-breaking donations of $2.4 million for the month of March, the most they’ve seen in one month in 15 years!

“The $2.4 million haul is the most money raised by the NRA’s political arm in one month since June 2003, the last month when electronic federal records were readily available. It surpasses the $1.1 million and $1.5 million raised in January and February 2013, the two months after the Sandy Hook school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut,” the Miami Herald reports.

You might imagine what David Hogg is thinking, but no, this money isn’t from the blood-soaked hands of major gun manufacturers. The majority of donations are being made by regular people like you and me.

“Most of the donations, $1.9 million of the $2.4 million total, came from small donors who gave less than $200,” the Miami Herald adds.

“The NRA should send David Hogg flowers,” suggests John Porter of Louder With Crowder. “Better yet, a tub of protein powder and a lifetime membership to Planet Fitness.”

Turns out the little guy can do some good after all!
