Capitol Police Say They Are Aware Of ‘Possible Plot To Breach Capitol’ On March 4

The Capitol Police are claiming that they are “aware” of a possible attack on the United States Capitol that could be planned for March 4.
The agency announced on Wednesday in a press release that they had “obtained intelligence” about an attack that could potentially be designed to siege the Capitol building by a militia group.
“The United States Capitol Police Department is aware of and prepared for any potential threats towards members of Congress or towards the Capitol complex. We have obtained intelligence that shows a possible plot to breach the Capitol by an identified militia group on Thursday, March 4,” the press release said. “We have already made significant security upgrades to include establishing a physical structure and increasing manpower to ensure the protection of Congress, the public and our police officers.”
The Capitol Police will have “additional personnel” around the Capitol grounds on Thursday.
The threat is likely connected to the wide-ranging QAnon conspiracy theories that claim the world is run by a secret cabal of satanic-worshiping, cannibalistic pedophiles, which includes members of Hollywood and the Democratic Party. Believers claim former President Donald Trump was elected to help uncover the conspiracy and, in the latest iteration, believe Trump will reclaim his role as commander in chief on March 4.
Security in the Capitol has remained high since rioters breached the Capitol on Jan. 6. During the attack, which was perpetrated mostly by Trump supporters there to express their discontent with Congress certifying President Biden’s electoral victory, rioters clashed with police officers outside the Capitol before many were able to break their way inside.
This definitely sounds kind of serious, but who knows if its for real? People do dumb things these days, including the creation of false threats just for the giggles.
Could it be possible that this whole thing is being orchestrated by Antifa or some other left-wing group pretending to be connected to right-wing ideology? Anything is possible.
Let’s just hope that nothing comes of this threat. It’s the last thing we need right now.
