Radical leftist group Antifa is up to their old tricks again, only instead of punching people they disagree with at a protest, they have placed their metaphorical sights on Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents over President Trump’s immigration policies.
A member of the group gathered the personal information of 1,500 agents and then posted it on Twitter, wanting people to “doxx” the agents for enforcing the actual immigration laws in our country. Good grief, folks.
The Twitter account “nebraska antifa” sent out a tweet to its followers on Tuesday that linked to the personal information of ICE officers compiled from information found on LinkedIn.
A Twitter user who goes by Sam Lavigne compiled the list of ICE agents’ identities, titles and locations. In a tweet on Tuesday morning he says he “scraped LinkedIn for people that work for ICE.”
Perisic reports that the Medium link was no longer available as of Tuesday night, but “nebraska antifa” links to an archived post providing access to Lavigne’s original database.
In his post on Medium, Lavigne explained his rationale for doxxing the ICE agents: “I’ve downloaded and made available the profiles of (almost) everyone on LinkedIn who works for ICE, 1,595 people in total. While I don’t have a precise idea of what should be done with this data set, I leave it here with the hope that researchers, journalists, and activists will find it useful.”
The link made its rounds on Reddit, where one user stated, “Doxxing ICE agents is good and moral.”
Yeah, it’s all fun and games until someone gets killed and you go to prison for helping to spread the information that led to the crime.
This is a dangerous game Antifa is playing. Many of the folks who belong to the group are mentally unstable individuals who are not above acting on violent tendencies and hurting innocent people.
Let’s hope no one is hurt by these crazies and that everyone relaxes a bit and learns how to handle political disagreement without getting angry and violent.
